Land Bank Learning Exchange

You’re invited to attend the 2016 Land Bank Learning Exchange on June 14, 2016, in Marquette! This event is an exclusive opportunity for members of the Michigan Association of Land Banks.

The Center for Community Progress and Michigan Association of Land Banks are co-hosting the 2016 Land Bank Learning Exchange. This event will provide land banks from across the state the opportunity to see firsthand how the Marquette County Land Bank Authority is engaging local partners to revitalize its community.

Following the Michigan Land Bank Leadership Summit, leaders will have an opportunity to tour Marquette County, visiting multiple land bank redevelopment projects while hearing from the Marquette County Land Bank and some of its partners about the challenges and successes they have faced. The tour will end in downtown Marquette with a strolling progressive dinner featuring some of the city’s best food, ending with dessert and the beautiful lake views of the Sky Room at the Landmark Inn.

If you are interested in participating in the 2016 Land Bank Learning Exchange, please RSVP by Friday, June 10. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Landmark Inn (230 N. Front St., Marquette, MI 49855). Click here (using Group Code CFCP) to book overnight accommodations or extend your stay following the Michigan Land Bank Leadership Summit.

The 2016 Land Bank Learning Exchange is an opportunity primarily intended for MALB members, but limited space is available for members to be accompanied by other key stakeholders, such as land bank board members, city officials, or funders. If you are interested in bringing other key stakeholders to the Exchange, please contact Laura Settlemyer prior to the June 10, 2016 registration deadline.

We hope to see you in Marquette. Seating is limited – so please don’t delay registering!
